Individual Services
What to Expect
At Inner Compass, we strive to provide you with inspiring, nurturing, reflective and transformational care that is individualized for your specific needs and goals. Our practitioners use a variety of methods and techniques to examine the underlying causes of your challenges, and address them using a combination of both evidence-based and culturally sensitive psycho-therapeutic techniques, and spiritual approaches. (Learn more about this on our “Approach to Therapy” page). During therapy, you may also be provided with tools to help you work on your goals outside of sessions, such as inspirational articles, audio recordings of meditation, breathing exercises, and journal guides.
Each session is 50 minutes long, and can be done online or face-to-face.
Sessions can also be done as couple’s therapy or family therapy.

Counselling for Teenagers
Teenagers: solution-focused rather than problem exploration-focused, which teaches the teenagers skill sets and techniques to evaluate their choices, problems and goals.
Teenagers’ brains are not wired to grasp consequences and delay gratification. As teenagers are less averse to risk, making rational choices about their own well-being can be more challenging as they have a reduced ability to utilise their frontal lobes while young, hence their brains are not wired up to weight distant consequences.
